Pillar of cloud and fire| guide me to where I’m supposed to be

Was having a difficult conversation with myself otw home when I saw people stopping to take photos of the sky. Looked up and saw this. I’m not even religious anymore but I guess I still believe there is a God although… I’m not sure what else. 

Is this a Sign, in reply to my despondency? I’m lost and it’s a long road home.
